{Umashankar + Shirpaa} – A Theni Wedding film

Umashankar and Shirpaa contacted a long time ago and asked me to shoot their wedding. We also planned to come up with a wedding film to give a gist of the entire wedding which was very simple in terms of the rituals. There were no priests nor the holy fire. The bride just went around the groom three times after which the groom wears the Thaali on the bride’s neck and the couple are pronounced married. As simple as that. It was an unique experience for me as a photographer to shoot the wedding.

Thanks to my team which is made of Girinath, the cinematographer and Anil Krishnan who donned the editing. This video would not have happened without these two guys.

Wedding film is gaining a lot of popularity these days. Gone are those days when you make your relatives and friends watch the 3+ hrs of boring video which panning right to left and zooming back and forth and all the guests greeting the bride. We live in a fast world and a world were our family and friends are dispersed. When you need to give everyone a gist of what happened in your wedding this is the best way to do it.
